Mystery Of Ghost in My Neighbourhood

Hi everyone, if you need some refreshment and let me be at your service with the first short story that I had created. Enjoy!

Mystery Of Ghost in My Neighborhood 

Genre: Horror, Mystery, Thriller 

I stay in a tiny house in one small community and just moved in one week ago. I gone to throw away trash, as my daily routine at 5 p.m. after I’ve done preparing dinner. Then I saw my neighbor, from the opposite house of mine, he is on his 20 something years old, with pale skin, black hair, sad eyes and wearing a loose white wolf shirt standing straight behind his window pane and stare at the sky. Well, I’m not really interested in the sky. Moreover, he doesn't seem to notice me, so I went inside my house.

My door bell rang three days after I saw that man. My friend came back from her holiday trip. She excitedly asks me what had I done when she’s gone and we had a long talk about her trip. Until she told me a story related to the opposite house. 

“Do you know there was a murder took place in the opposite house?” She said. I answered no as I have no knowledge of it.

“It happened one year ago,” she stop and sit straight,”two women staying there for almost forever. They are housemate, friend forever as I heard. But they seem to have queen and servant relationship,
one of them is the queen of the house and the other is the servant. So, the story began when the servant had a mental break down after a continual scolding from the queen. She can’t hold her anger and stabbed the queen with cutters until her death. Well, she ran out to the main street hoping for a passing car to crash her to death. But it didn’t happen. Small bump will not kill you. So the driver come out of the car angrily, but turn into fear as soon as he saw her covered in blood. He directly contacts the police and they investigate the death of the queen. So the truth came out and she serve her time in jail. It’s a long time the house had no one staying there, until the situation when calm in the neighborhood and the family of the queen is renting the house. Later, a foreign couple with no knowledge of the case rent the house. And the queen's family never told them about the case, they afraid no one will want to stay in a house where a murder had taken place before. But the truth will slowly come to everyone sooner or later. When the couple heard about it and moved from the house within one day. So the house is left empty again. It’s scares me like almost forever when I’m with Wendy, my former housemate.”

She stops and says nothing. Then I remembered the man with the sad eyes, I don’t dare to imagine things, so I asked her,”When is it actually happen? I mean, when was the couple moves out?”

Sudden chill came to me and my heart started to jump faster than normal.

She answered,”One month ago, now the house is empty. Some say that there was another victim in the house. Because the police found another fresh blood bath that didn’t match both of those women, but it matches the male skeleton buried outside the house with a white wolf shirt.”

Young Sherlock - 少年神探狄仁杰 review

I’m going to write a review of the series ‘Young Sherlock’ or ‘少年神探狄仁杰’ with Bosco Wong as Di Ren Jie. This is 40 episodes Chinese drama in 2014 with the genre of period drama and mystery.

Well, I recommend this series for those who love mystery and detective story with period settings. There is a little bit of romance going on but I’m not going to recommend this series for those who seek for romance in the middle of the investigation. In additional, there are a few pieces of comedy.

So I started to watch this series earlier this month and just finish it. I had noticed this drama in 2014, I had watched one episode and abandon it. At first look I was not interested in this drama at all until now. One of the reasons why I watch this drama is because of Ma Tian Yu and Ruby Lin as Wang YuenFang and Wu Mei Niang respectively. They are both great actors in the historical drama. As they are not the main main character in this series, they are not much seen on screen (this is why I abandoned it in last year).

This series has title of cases in each episode, which is great to let you know what case they are handling right now. This series will make you wonder who is the killer because the killer is smart to make innocent people to be suspected as the killer. And most of the cases blaming ghosts as the killer. So Di Ren Jie will say,”There is no ghost that can cause trouble, only a human can.”

In most of the period drama, they will always show the relationship between men. They are close like brother, although they are not related by blood. But in this series, they are more focus on relationship between man and woman rather than their brotherhood. In my opinion, the relationship between women and man, it’s a little bit too much as the man seems pervert and the women are,”Well, I like him but I’m shy. So I must not show that I like him.” kind. I’m a little bit disappointed with this, because for me, I really admire people, who is not related by blood, can care for each other which I didn’t get those feelings in this series.

And in the end, the ending of the series is really heartbroken for the romance. But well they finally are able to kill the mastermind that wanted to be the king. The happy ending is for the king and Wu Mei Niang where in a few years she will become king when the present king is dead. Long lives the king! 皇上万岁万岁万万岁.

New Year with Stitch and McQueen
