The Empress Of China - 武媚娘传奇 review

The Empress Of China Cover

Hi everyone, I'm going to review a Chinese drama series 'The Empress Of China' or '武媚娘传奇' with total 82 episodes and Fan Bing Bing as Wu Mei Niang / Wu Ze Tian

The story is set in Tang Dynasty, the story begins with Wu Ru Yi who later became Wu Mei Niang, she first came into the palace as a lowly ranked concubine and later became the first and only woman Emperor who rules in China. This series, mostly tells about her love life with Emperor Taizong and Emperor Gaozong, who are father and son respectively.

The drama taken main event of Wu Mei Niang's life. At first she was a concubine of Emperor Tai Zong, after the death of the emperor, she was banished to be a nun. Then she was brought back to the palace by Emperor Gao Zong, previous emperor son, and become Emperor Gao Zong's queen. She went through the power struggle and declared herself as an Emperor, after Gao Zong's death.

I will recommend this series for those who love a romantic drama with historical settings.
| SPOILER ALERT : Sad ending might occur in the first love story. | 

And I will not recommend this drama for those who love historical so much and love about how clever, cunning, and cruel Wu Mei Niang can be to be able to get the throne. This drama makes Wu Mei Niang seem like a nice person who is in luck to be able to be the emperor. Well, I can't say 100% nice, because she order to kill 2 people (Princess GaoYang and Ming Yue) but with a reason that her act can be comprehended.

The cast of 'The Empress Of China' are way too awesome and very pretty. I give an applause and appreciation for Fan Bing Bing as Wu Mei Niang and Zhang Feng Yi as Li Shi Min (Emperor Taizong) for their great acting skills. Well,, the other is good as well.

With her stunning act and awesome face, she really made this drama series looks elegant and worth watching. I love how she transforms, from a naive maiden into a strong women. I like Zhang Feng Yi as well, his demeanor as king look very cool rather than when Aarif Rahman resumed the throne. 

Media state that they made 260 costumes for Fan BingBing alone to play as Wu Mei Niang and all of them are very stunning and gorgeous. With Fan BingBing wears it, IT IS PERFECT!!! Couldn't find another word for it. (Other cast has a great outfit as well, but I will highlight only on what Fan BingBing wears.) There are some of the outfits she wears only once or only for the cover shoot and some she wear it repeatedly but only for a short time.

I love how the makeup artist does Fan BingBing makeup, as she grew to be a tough woman she wear more makeup. And the accessories she wears shows her knowledge grew as well.

After all, this is a cool drama series. Worth watching with absolutely stunning traditional dresses. In the end, I find out most of dynasty series drama shows that ('The Empress of China' as well), when you become the emperor you will lost all the people you love (friends, ally and lover). No one else will be with you when you are at the top because they die either protecting you or because they need to be dead for you to be the emperor. 

Lastly, I love the eunuch, Rui An, who follow Wu Mei Niang from her start until the end. Love his loyalty towards her. (One of the reason I love historical is because the loyalty of the subordinate.)

Let me share with you how do I state the historical series is good, when:

1. If the story has a King, the one who play the King has to be good in showing their demeanor as a King.

2. Background settings. Does it look fake? Some of the historical series using CGI for their background settings and it really irritates with solid color that doesn't match the outfit. (Won't name one, but there is one historical Cdrama using CGI for their background.)

3. What their wearing, traditional clothing of course. How stunning and outrageous they are.

4. And of course the cast itself. Even though he or she is famous but the acting skill is bad, it will make the entire series collapse.

5. The storyline of the series. Some historical drama series will bring you bored to death.

Hi, ini adalah design news Maret 2016 untuk GBI Jembatan Lima. Dengan ukuran asli terbuka A4, 29.7 cm x 21 cm, dan ukuran tertutup A5, 21 cm x 14.8 cm. Tujuan pembuatan ukuran A4 agar para orang tua (yang memiliki rabun dekat) mampu membaca isi yang ada di dalam news ini. 

Tetapi, anda tidak akan mendapatkan news yang sudah dicetak dalam ukuran A4, dikarenakan petugas yang mengatur percetakan mengubah ukuran daripada news tersebut menjadi 15 cm x 15 cm (keadaan terbuka). Dengan cara menggepengkan news tersebut. Tulisan menjadi kecil dan tidak terbaca bagi orang-orang yg memiliki rabun dekat. Dikarenakan news telah tercetak banyak dan tidak direncanakan untuk mencetak dengan ukuran asli, maka akan tetap di bagikan.

Saya akan membagikan news ini melalui jaringan sosial agar semua teman-teman seiman dapat menghadiri ibadah di gereja kami, GBI BASILEA JEMBATAN LIMA. Tuhan memberkati~

Disrespect Towards Designer

"Your design is just like a piece of sh*t which I can step on and squeeze until it flats," says the one who destroy design artwork.

There will always be one client or one person who thinks designer do not know anything that they design. As a designer, we always think and give the best for our target to be comfortable with our design. But when the client gets the artwork and make a distortion towards the design without the designer knowledge, you are being disrespected towards the designer himself. 

Forgiveness is just another thing, it will just lead to another form of disrespect from the client or the person who distort the design.

Learn to handle any client you get now, it will help you in the future endeavors.

Donut Decoration Contest

Kegiatan Sekolah minggu - Kuis Menyusun gambar cerita Firman Tuhan

Kuis ini bertujuan agar anak-anak mengerti cerita Firman Tuhan dengan cara menyusun gambar yang diberikan.

Anak-anak akan dibagi perkelompok 3 orang. Selain bertujuan agar anak-anak mengerti cerita Firman Tuhan, anak-anak juga diajari untuk bersosialisasi dan bekerja sama dengan teman sekelompoknya untuk menyusun gambar.

Tiap kelompok akan dibagikan 4-5 cerita Alkitab (yang merupakan gambar acak) beserta clue ayat Alkitab. Anak-anak diharuskan membuka ayat Alkitab tersebut dan menyesuaikan dengan gambar acak yang diberikan. Tidak semua kata dan kalimat di dalam alkitab dilambangkan dengan gambar yang diberikan, ini bertujuan agar anak-anak berpikir yang mana susunan gambar yang tepat sesuai dengan ayat tersebut.

Kelompok yang sudah menyelesaikan susunan cerita akan mengangkat tangan dan guru sekolah minggu harus mengecek apakah susunan tersebut sudah tepat. Kemudian, kelompok tersebut harus mengambil undian dan mereka harus menceritakan ayat cerita Firman Tuhan yang mereka dapat dari undian tersebut.

Permainan ini tidak menentukan pemenang atau yang kalah, permainan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dapatkah anak-anak menyusun gambar dari ayat yang diberikan. permainan ini lebih difokuskan agar anak-anak tahu cerita dari Firman Tuhan yang mereka susun.

Sekian.. kuis ini bisa dijadikan aktifitas di sekolah minggu. Selamat mencoba.

Sunday School Journal Book

This is the Sunday School Journal Book that I have created recently.

I create this book cover and keeping one thing in mind that I would like the children to be more active in the sunday school. 

I wanted the children to try to reach God and be like a rocket which it always go up to the sky and vibrant to go to the place that it wanted to go. 

I would like to create a name for the Sunday school, as the 'Sunday school' is kind of Hmmm... 

Love to have 'CoolKidz' as the name but the leader said that is the same as cloth store name. So it came back again as to the original 'Sunday school'. 

Pray the best for GBI Basilea Jembatan Lima's Sunday School to be able to teach the children the words of God and let the children grow in God.
